1 Kings 4 [3] Jehoshaphat who served under David (2 Samuel 8:16) carried on his role as recorder. [4] This is the same Abiathar that Solomon exiled to Anathoth (1 Kings 2:26-27) I realised that Solomon couldn't strip him of his title as priest, but could ban him from serving in the the Temple. Thus Zadok was promoted to serve in his place as high priest. [20-28] This was a season of peace and prosperity. It was all made possible because of the amount of blood David spilled which weakened the neighbouring nations, rendering them ineffective for war.
