Imagine hand delivering your own execution letter! Shuu!! After God, fear David. Chapter 11 is a classic example of the snowball effect. 1. The seemingly harmless act of staying behind [1] 2. Lingering eye fuels his lust [2] 3. David abused his power as king, by summoning Bathsheba and laying with her, cause who will say "No" to the King? [3-4] 4. The first attempted cover up: tried to send Uriah home to lay with his wife to mask the paternity of the unborn child [10-11] 5. Second attempt: got him drunk, thinking he will stagger away to his wife [13] 6. Premeditated murder [14] 7. Still, in a desperate attempt to hide his sin, David marries Bathsheba in order to legitimise the pregnancy. Sin begets more sin.
