I’m a bit puzzled about the part that mentioned that Solomon kept all God’s laws except offering sacrifices on alters that God did not sanction. This was mentioned before the popular dream he had where God asked him what he wanted and then blessed him with wisdom. I know that Solomon offered a 1000 burnt sacrifice but did God ignore the other ones he offered cuz the way the text read, it gave the impression that he had already began to go astray after marrying Pharoah’s daughter?
Reply →God blessing Solomon with material wealth and a peaceful reign as king is literally Matthew 6:33 in action. He sought first and prioritized God’s work by asking for wisdom to govern God’s own people, and every other thing was added to him. It’s a huge tip on how to approach God. Don’t go asking for things when you haven’t prioritized His own calling/purpose on your life. There’s a code to this.
