Jesus, my friend
By NaaDei Aaliyah
Hebrews 4:16 (NKJV)
“Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”
REFLECTION by NAADEI NII-ASHIE
Inspired by the famous hymn~ ‘What a friend we have in Jesus’
We have the privilege of going before our Father with every single thing — good, bad, funny, ugly, painful, sorrowful, hurtful, beautiful, loving, disappointing, heavy, sad, etc.
Why will we choose to forfeit our peace when we cannot change our circumstances for the better with worry?
Verse 3 reminds us that our Precious Saviour is still our refuge. He is Saviour for a reason. All we gotta do is pray!
He's a friend. If you don't want to talk to your Father about it, you'll definitely want to talk to your Friend. Or are you looking for a Defender? He's that too. Counsel? Say less.
He's all you need and more. He's more than enough. Talk to Him! We have the privilege of going into His presence whenever. He'll listen. He won't turn us away. Talk to Him.
"Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you."
— 1 Peter 5:7 (NIV)
