Isaiah 4 [1] Although shocking, the desperation of it all is understandable. Back then (maybe even today) women had to belong to someone, either your father's or husband's house, so the shame of being old and unmarried was a real fear, so much so that they were willing to waive the financial right of being provided for by their husband. Though understandable, may this level of desperation never find me.

Some people were daring God to judge them. Like we have heard this warnings over and over again. We are tired. Isaiah 5:19 shows people sarcastically saying, “Let God hurry up and do it.” They heard the warnings so much that they no longer believed anything would happen That’s a dangerous place to be.

Isaiah 5 [1-2] God made us. He has done everything, has given us everything we need to live unto Him: the Word, the Law, His Son. The way is clear. We need to do our part.
