2 Chro V1. Why would your position becoming strong draw you away from God? As a Christian how do guard against that. Is this an old testament problem?
There is that kind of peace that only God can give you and it comes from true worship .. King Asa knew that
When we put our whole trust in God, He is forever faithful and holds our hands towards the right direction. May we continue to be the “Asa’s” in our generation, walking in the perfect will of God
The young prophet really got deceived by the older prophet. Never abandon what God has clearly shown you simply because someone influential says otherwise. God cannot be deceived. He knows our motives and hearts.
2 Chronicles 12:1-12 Our greatest danger isn't always hardship—it can be comfort. Rehoboam sought God when he was vulnerable, but when he became strong, he forgot the One who made him strong. What I learnt though, is that when he humbled himself, God responded with mercy. My Lesson here is that no matter how far we've drifted, humility is always the first step back to God. Look at David, a classical case study
Iyewande Oladokun just now ··· What stood out for me today is obedience to God’s word and following his ways is very key. We also don’t even have to be strong enough or good enough for certain things, the most important thing is to follow God’s precepts and trust him totally and He will come through when we need him. Also I think we should be mindful for those who walk outside the instructions of God and who give excuses all the time they may be a trap for distraction and confusion
Today's read was a clear light on our test of God's instructions and how to obey without any compromise . that something is right or true does not mean it's God's way for you or Him saying something pertaining to your direction and walk with Him. Be discerning and stay with HIm so much that if it's not Him saying a thing you can easily not get carried away
The earlier read already said the people who were serious about God had already left the land ruled by Jeroboam. The fact that that man was still in that land should've been a warning to the younger prophet
