The response from the Shunammite woman when her husband asked why she wanted a donkey to go see Elisha. ‘ it will be alright’ but the son was lying dead in the upper room. This passage depicts remarkable faith from the woman.

In chapter 2, Elisha showed strong faith and perseverance as he served his master He stayed committed to his purpose and received a double portion of his master's spirit, and did wonders. The story reminds me of how Ruth followed Naomi everywhere she went😊

There are many remarkable things from today’s passage. Few which are worthy of mention include Concerning the Shunamite woman: 1. Her hospitality: It makes me think of Matthew 6:33- seek ye first the Kingdom of God and all these things will be added unto you. She made God’s business her business and God took care of her business. 2. Her faith: I can only imagine how she wonderfully overwhelmed she felt when Elisha told her that she would have a child in her arms a year from the time. She had probably been praying about it for a long time and that was definitely an answer to prayer. Also, the sequence of her actions when her child died were remarkable. All her actions spoke of faith. God takes note of us- the provision for the widow and her two sons is one of the most beautiful miracles in the Bible.
