In today's read,Solomon who has seen it all is passionately talking to his son about sexual purity. Sin generally sells cheap,but can cause one everything, my general take home is never entertain thr slightest form of temptation, thinking I am strong,I can stand...No,it's best to flee just as the bible commands us to run from every appearance of evil(sin)

Proverbs 6:32-35 gave me strong Nollywood movie plots vibes 😌🤭

I sense a lot of pain and regret in the way Solomon writes these Proverbs. You can just tell there was a lot of drama in his life with all the women he was involved with. I wish we had more specific narratives but at its core, Proverbs explains all that we need to learn.

It seems to me that Solomon was involved with married women, just like his Dad was. In Proverbs 5, he emphasizes on this a lot as he writes to his son.

Again, the enemy rarely begins with a dramatic fall. He often starts with small compromises, unchecked pride, careless choices, and wandering hearts. Solomon tells us that the wisest way to overcome temptation is to stay as far away from it as possible and to keep our hearts anchored in God's wisdom.

Solomon doesn't just warn us about the consequences of sin, he shows us that God desires faithfulness, contentment, and purity. What appears attractive in the moment can lead to deep regret. Wisdom really helps us look beyond now pleasure that subsequently leads to long term something

Solomon having an Investment Tedtalk 101 in Proverbs 6 :6-8. Wisdom teaches is to invest because there are two seasons in life that happens to all.the season of scarcity and the season of abundance. Each season teaches us something valuable and Solomom in his wisdom is advising us to learn from the ways of the ant especially in our season of abundance.

For from within, out of the heart of man, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder,adultery, coveting, wickedness, deceit, sensual, envy, slander, pride, foolishness. (Mark 7:21-22) ● a false witness who breathes out lies. The repetition highlights the severity of deception.

Proverbs 5 NIV [23] For lack of discipline they will die, led astray by their own great folly As I read this verse another popped into my mind: James 1:13-15 ESV Let no one say when he is tempted, "I am being tempted by God," for God cannot be tempted with evil and He Himself tempts no one. But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire. Then desire when it has conceived gives birth to sin, and sin when it is fully grown brings forth death.
