1 Kings 20:1-22 God is not to be put in a box! He is not limited! He is not confined by geography, nor what we think or believe of Him, and not our circumstances. He is all powerful, completely sovereign over every single thing.

1 Kings 19 [4-8] Elijah didn't really want to die, he was just exhausted from the head to heads with the prophets of Baal and in need of some reprieve and replenishing. [9-10 & 14] God is not offended by our vexation and verbal diarrhoea [15-16] God doesn't let Elijah wallow in his despair, but gave him a new mission, a new purpose. [18] To encourage him, God reminded Elijah that he wasn't alone in his faithfulness.

1 Kings 18 Overall, this chapter is a call for us to stand firm in the face of persecution, even if there's no else on your side. It demonstrates that those who trust in the Lord will not be put shame, cause He always comes through for those who belong to Him.

1 Kings 17 This whole chapter is filled with acts of crazy faith. [4] Know and trust that God will provide for your needs if and when they arise in His own way. May we learn to recognise His hand of provision in our lives. [5] The answers you're looking for are on the other side of obedience. [9] As we've read thus far, God often uses the least to accomplish His will. In this instance it was a widow, somebody overlooked and forgotten by society. [10-16] Faith without action is dead. [20-21] Prayer changes things! Pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17) [22] God has power over life and death. [24] God will always confirm His prophets.
