Again, Elisha had become angry because he knew the king had settled for less than what Gid was willing to give and it made me wonder how often I do the same thing. Sometimes we pray once,try once or believe for a little while and then stop. We become satisfied too quickly or give up too soon. I am being reminded to keep trusting God wholeheartedly and not settle for halfway. Sometimes the difference between a partial victory and a complete victory is perseverance

When Zechariah said May the Lord see this and call you to account, he was leaving vengeance to the Lord because he knew good had seen the injustice being done to him and trusted God to deal with it. God sees everything even the things people think they have gotten away with. Joash may have been the King but he was still accountable to God, his position could not protect him from the consequences of his actions. I am being reminded that God is both merciful and just. We may not see Justice happen immediately but nothing escapes God. We need to leave vengeance in God’s hands and trust Him to judge rightly
