Proverbs 13:12 — Hope deferred makes the heart sick but a longing fufilled is a tree of life. This verse REALLY stood out to me. I saw it from the perspective of God dealing with us. There are so many times we’re told to wait on something, to not give up, to be patient that it almost starts to feel like God has forgotten His promises. This is a reminder that He actually cares about keeping you on read cuz He does not want your heart to be sick. He already told us to guard our hearts cuz everything to do with living comes from it, in every sense of the word. He also speaks of His peace guarding our hearts and mind. Because He obviously cares, He won’t defer hope. He will come through. It’s a very comforting thought.

Pro 13:22 .."A good man leaves an inheritance for his children's children.."that's really deep..I need to work harder 😇. But beyound all of the riches and material possessions, As Christians we ought to live such good lifes that our name outlives us, our values, integrity, faith should be evident in our kids and generations to come, so that even long after we've gone ,the legacy remains.

Prov 11:6 speaks to me a lot about how to do good and not live in expectation of receiving back from the same person or not to be offended when there is no returned favor. I have come to believe that if I’m able to offer help to someone, it’s actually God giving me the capacity to help. Same way if I need help he brings someone he has blessed with the capacity to help. So I don’t get disappointed because someone went AWOL on me after helping them.

Proverbs 11 [9, 11, 12, 13, 22] The power of the tongue. These verses in particular warn us against gossip and useless talk. Our words have the the power to build up and destroy, they are the difference between peace and war. Wisdom teaches us that there is a time to keep silence and a time to speak (Ecclesiastes 3:7b) and it is our responsibility to gain said wisdom so that we know what to say, how to say it and when to say it.
